Youth Baseball: MVK Captures Enger Bronco Championship, GSW and Ottawa win Mustang and Pinto

The MVK Bronco/12u All-Stars topped GSW 13-12 in an Enger Invitational Tournament Championship Thriller in Dwight Sunday Afternoon.

After GSW held off a late surge from undefeated MVK to force a second Championship matchup in the Bronco/12U level of the annual Jim Enger Invitational Tournament, MVK quickly jumped out to a 12-0 first inning lead in the final and barely managed to hold on until the final out.

Down 13-12 in the final inning, GSW had runners on second and third with one out when the MVK shortstop made a leaping grap on a looping line drive and doubled the runner off third for a game-ending double play, providing an exciting finish for the crowd at Dwight's Garrett Park Sunday afternoon.

With the win, MVK took home the first-place hardware for the weekend.

Over at the Mustang field, GSW's 10u All-Stars battled from behind in top-half of the final inning, and held off Streator's offense in the bottom half to take home the Championship trophy.

In the Pinto Brackets, Ottawa 2 took the crown in a showdown of the two Ottawa teams that played over the weekend.
