Junior High Wrestling: Reed-Custer continues to Roll

With success in a pair of dual-matches during the week, and a strong showing at the New Lenox JV Invitational over the weekend, the Reed-Custer Junior High Wrestling team is continuing to dominate opponents.

Results from last weeks matches:


The wrestling Panthers traveled to Morris to take on Shabbona Middle School.  The Panthers came away with the dual victory by the score of 67-21.  The coaches saw a lot of areas for improvement but were pleased by the preparation and determination shown by the wrestlers.  The win improved their dual record to 7-1.


On Thursday afternoon the wrestling Panthers hosted Seneca and Manteno at RC Fieldhouse.  The team started off against Seneca getting a big win 76-18 and then followed by defeating Manteno putting up a score of 66-18.  They competed with toughness and pride.  The coaches were pleased with the effort displayed in each match and continued to pad their dual team record, improving to 9-1.


Saturday afternoon the wrestling panthers traveled to New Lenox to compete in the JV New Lenox Invitational.  The wrestlers were looking to get more mat time and sharpen their skills.  The team ended with 15 placers:

4th Place: Martin Devalois, Zack Cieslak, Trey Gille, Lily Kuchar, Vince Russotti

3rd Place: Dakota Gille, Catalina Bowie, Joey Ulrich, Rachel Koerner

2nd Place: Samantha Sprimont, Nick Cieslak, Joey Aylward, Jeremy Eggleston

Champions: Evan Ehringer, Aidan Hoffman
