Bradley Central's Ethan Spacht and Dwight's Dillon Sarff each returned home Saturday afternoon with first place medals from the IESA State Wrestling Meet held and the Northern Illinois University Convocation Center in DeKalb.
As a team, the Coal City Warriors earned third place honors, edging fourth place Bloomington Junior High by just one-and-a-half points. Homer Glen Homer captured the team championship with 163 points. Bradley Central finished fifth with 70 points, and Dwight finished 19th with 50 team points.
Spacht captured the championship at the 75 pound weight class, while Sarff topped the bracket in the 95 pound class.
Lymon Jackson, Bradley Central (65lbs), Brant Widlowski, Coal City (70lbs), Jaxson Robers, Herscher Limestone (100lbs), and Kody Marschner, Reed-Custer (185lbs) all earned runner-up honors in their respective weight classes.
