Michael Freitas was brilliant on the pitcher's mound Wednesday night, holding host Thornwood hitless to lead the Bradley-Bourbonnais JV baseball team to an 18-0 victory.
The big inning for the Boilermakers was the fourth, when they tallied seven runs with Ethan Ryan, Kylan Baron, Max Karraker, and Freitas each posting an RBI in the frame.
Freitas went the full four innings on the mound, allowing no hits while striking out 11 without allowing a walk.
At the plate, BBCHS tallied two home runs on the day with Maguire Domanszky clearing the fence in the third inning, and Karraker driving one out in the fourth. The Boilermakers had 16 hits in the game, with Domanszky, Karraker, Baron, Freitas, and Hunter Glassford all posting multi-hit games. Glassford and Domanszky led the way with three hits apiece.
The BBCHS defense had Fretias' back as it didn't commit an error.
The Boilermakers will host Thornwood for a rematch on Friday.
