During the Dwight Redbirds' final home game of the 2018 season, Redbird third baseman Hailey Heath made sure she left her mark on the DTHS field after drilling four hits in her four at-bats during the Redbird's 15-2 victory over Pontiac St. Mary's on Tuesday night.
Heath doubled and singled in a big first inning for the Redbirds, that resulted in the hosts plating 10 runs. Dwight's offense in the inning came from walks by Ashlyn Heikkila and Megan Livingston, singles by Kassy Kodat and Heath, doubles by Anderson and Heath, and an error on a ball put in play by Kira Bean.
Dwight's offense got things rolling early in the first, when Anderson doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Iris Beier earned the win in the circle for Dwight, going five innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out four.
