The Bishop McNamara Junior High boys cross-country team and girls runner Emerson Provost advanced to the State Meet after participating in the Sectional Cross-Country meet on October 6th at Perry Farm, hosted by Bourbonnais St. George.
The Irish boys qualified for State as a team with a second place finish. Christian Provost led the pack with a first-place overall individual finish.
Provost qualified as an individual in the girls’ race placing 8th overall, and ranking 3rd among the non-qualifying teams' runners.
They will represent the Irish at the Class 2A State Final in Bloomington-Normal next Saturday.
